From German spritzen “to squirt, spurt, spray,” related to the idea of liquid being forced out in a jet; the word entered English in the late 19th–early 20th century.
জার্মান spritzen থেকে এসেছে, যার অর্থ “ছিটানো/ফোয়ারার মতো বের করা/স্প্রে করা”; তরলকে জোরে বের করে দেওয়ার ধারণার সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত। শব্দটি উনিশ শতকের শেষ ভাগ থেকে বিশ শতকের শুরুর দিকে ইংরেজিতে প্রচলিত হয়।
Definition
Spritz means to spray a small amount of liquid in fine droplets (often from a bottle or atomizer), or the small spray itself; it can also mean a light alcoholic drink (especially in parts of Europe) made by adding sparkling water/soda to wine or a liqueur.
Spritz বলতে বোঝায় অল্প পরিমাণ তরলকে সূক্ষ্ম কণার মতো ছিটানো (সাধারণত স্প্রে বোতল/অ্যাটোমাইজার থেকে), বা সেই ছোট স্প্রেটাই; এছাড়া এটি এমন একটি হালকা মদ্যপ পানীয়ও বোঝাতে পারে (বিশেষ করে ইউরোপের কিছু অঞ্চলে) যেখানে ওয়াইন বা লিকিউরের সঙ্গে সোডা/স্পার্কলিং জল মেশানো হয়।
