Definition
Spokes are the thin rods that radiate from the center (hub) of a wheel to the outer rim, helping the wheel keep its shape and bear load; by extension, the word can also mean similar projecting parts (e.g., on a steering wheel), ladder rungs, a device used to stop a wheel from turning downhill, or outer nodes in a hub-and-spoke transport model.
স্পোকস বলতে সাধারণত চাকার কেন্দ্র (হাব/অ্যাক্সেল) থেকে বাইরের রিম পর্যন্ত ছড়িয়ে থাকা পাতলা দণ্ড/কড়িগুলোকে বোঝায়, যা চাকার আকৃতি ধরে রাখতে ও ভার বহনে সাহায্য করে; প্রসারিত অর্থে স্টিয়ারিং হুইলের বেরিয়ে থাকা হাতল/দণ্ড, মইয়ের ধাপ, ঢাল বেয়ে নামার সময় চাকা ঘোরা আটকানোর যন্ত্র, অথবা হাব-অ্যান্ড-স্পোক পরিবহন মডেলের বাইরের কেন্দ্র/পয়েন্টকেও বোঝাতে পারে।
