Definition
Splenotomy is a surgical procedure in which a surgeon makes an incision into the spleen, usually to control bleeding, remove a lesion, or access the organ for diagnosis or treatment; it is different from splenectomy, which is removal of the spleen.
স্প্লেনোটমি হলো একটি শল্যচিকিৎসা পদ্ধতি যেখানে সার্জন প্লীহা (spleen)-তে চিরা/কাটা দেন—সাধারণত রক্তপাত নিয়ন্ত্রণ, কোনো ক্ষত/গাঁট (lesion) অপসারণ, বা নির্ণয় ও চিকিৎসার জন্য অঙ্গটিতে প্রবেশের উদ্দেশ্যে; এটি স্প্লেনেক্টমি থেকে আলাদা, কারণ স্প্লেনেক্টমিতে প্লীহা সম্পূর্ণ অপসারণ করা হয়।
