From south + wester (“a wind from the west”), used for a wind from the southwest; the clothing sense (often sou'wester) developed in nautical use for rain- and wind-protective gear.
south + wester (অর্থাৎ “পশ্চিম দিকের বাতাস”) থেকে গঠিত; দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিম দিক থেকে আসা বাতাস বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত। পোশাক/টুপি অর্থটি (প্রায়ই sou'wester) নৌ-পরিবেশে বৃষ্টি ও বাতাস প্রতিরোধী সামগ্রী বোঝাতে পরবর্তীতে প্রচলিত হয়।
Definition
Southwester refers most commonly to a strong wind that blows from the southwest; it can also mean (often spelled sou'wester) a waterproof hat or a long raincoat used to protect against wind and rain, especially by sailors.
