Definition
“Snort” refers to (1) a harsh sound made by breathing in or out through the nose (often from laughter, irritation, or an animal’s breath), and (2) the act of making that sound; it can also mean inhaling a substance (especially drugs) through the nose, and in technical/naval use it can mean a submarine’s snorkel or operating with it.
“Snort” বলতে (১) নাক দিয়ে জোরে শ্বাস ছাড়লে/নিলে যে খসখসে/জোরে শব্দ হয় (অনেক সময় হাসি, বিরক্তি, বা প্রাণীর শ্বাস থেকে), এবং (২) সেইভাবে শব্দ করা বোঝায়; এছাড়া নাক দিয়ে কোনো পদার্থ (বিশেষত মাদক) টেনে নেওয়া অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হয়, আর নৌ/প্রযুক্তিগত অর্থে সাবমেরিনের স্নরকেল বা তা ব্যবহার করে চলাচলকেও বোঝাতে পারে।
