shore (সমর্থন/ঠেস দেওয়া) ক্রিয়া থেকে উদ্ভূত; মধ্য ইংরেজি থেকে, ঠেস/ভরসা (prop/stay) ধারণার সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত। shoring হলো সেই ক্রিয়ার gerund/ক্রিয়াবাচক বিশেষ্য এবং নির্মাণকাজে ব্যবহৃত সাময়িক ঠেস/সমর্থনের জন্য বিশেষ্য হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
Shoring means giving something extra support, often temporarily, to stop it from collapsing or failing (e.g., walls, trenches, tunnels, docks); it can also mean the act of bringing or setting something onto a shore.
Shoring বলতে বোঝায় কোনো কিছু ধসে পড়া/ব্যর্থ হওয়া ঠেকাতে সাধারণত সাময়িকভাবে অতিরিক্ত ভরসা/ঠেস দিয়ে সমর্থন দেওয়া (যেমন দেয়াল, খাত/ট্রেঞ্চ, টানেল, ঘাট); এছাড়া কোনো কিছুকে তীরে তুলে আনা বা তীরে স্থাপন করাও বোঝাতে পারে।
