From sea + front; recorded in English from the late 19th–early 20th century to describe the sea-facing part of coastal towns.
sea (সমুদ্র) + front (সামনের দিক) থেকে গঠিত; উনিশ শতকের শেষভাগ–বিশ শতকের শুরুর দিকে উপকূলীয় শহরের সমুদ্র-মুখী অংশ বোঝাতে শব্দটি ইংরেজিতে প্রচলিত হয়।
Definition
The seafront is the part of a place that faces the sea—either the coastline itself or the built-up waterfront area (roads, promenade, shops) of a seaside town.
সিফ্রন্ট বলতে সমুদ্রের দিকে মুখ করা অংশকে বোঝায়—এটি হতে পারে উপকূলরেখা/সমুদ্রতট, অথবা সমুদ্রতীরবর্তী শহরের নির্মিত জলসীমা-সংলগ্ন এলাকা (রাস্তা, প্রমেনেড, দোকানপাট)।
