From Middle English sculyon, via Anglo-French from Old French escouillon/escullion, related to Late Latin scutella (“small dish”).
মধ্য ইংরেজি sculyon থেকে; অ্যাংলো-ফরাসি হয়ে প্রাচীন ফরাসি escouillon/escullion থেকে এসেছে; দেরি লাতিন scutella (“ছোট থালা”) শব্দের সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত।
Definition
Scullions are low-ranking kitchen workers who do the dirty, routine tasks such as washing dishes, scrubbing pots, cleaning the kitchen, and carrying water.
স্কালিয়নরা হলো রান্নাঘরের নিম্নপদস্থ কর্মচারী, যারা থালা-বাসন ধোওয়া, হাঁড়ি-পাতিল ঘষা, রান্নাঘর পরিষ্কার করা এবং পানি বহন করার মতো নোংরা ও রুটিন কাজ করে।
