From French “Répondez s’il vous plaît” (“Please respond”), adopted into English on invitations, often written as RSVP or R.S.V.P.
ফরাসি “Répondez s’il vous plaît” (অর্থ: “অনুগ্রহ করে উত্তর দিন”) থেকে এসেছে; ইংরেজিতে আমন্ত্রণপত্রে RSVP বা R.S.V.P. হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Definition
RSVP is written on invitations to ask guests to reply and say whether they will attend (and sometimes how many people will come), usually by a given date.
RSVP সাধারণত আমন্ত্রণপত্রে লেখা থাকে অতিথিদেরকে নির্দিষ্ট তারিখের মধ্যে জানাতে—তারা অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থাকবেন কি না (এবং কখনও কখনও কতজন আসবেন)।
