ride (রাইড/ভ্রমণ) + sharing (ভাগাভাগি/শেয়ার করা) থেকে তৈরি আধুনিক যৌগিক শব্দ; ২০০০–২০১০-এর দশকে অ্যাপভিত্তিক পরিবহন প্ল্যাটফর্ম জনপ্রিয় হওয়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে শব্দটির ব্যবহার বেড়ে যায়; এটি অনেক সময় অনানুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং কখনও কখনও ride-hailing-এর সঙ্গে অর্থগতভাবে মিলে যায়।
Definition
Ride-sharing is an informal term for getting a lift or booking a trip through a platform (often a mobile app) that matches passengers with nearby drivers; it may be one-to-one (private) or shared with other riders to reduce cost.
রাইড-শেয়ারিং (অনানুষ্ঠানিক) বলতে সাধারণত এমন একটি সেবা/পদ্ধতিকে বোঝায় যেখানে কোনো প্ল্যাটফর্ম (প্রায়ই মোবাইল অ্যাপ) যাত্রীকে কাছাকাছি চালকের সঙ্গে মিলিয়ে দেয়; এটি একা (প্রাইভেট) হতে পারে বা খরচ কমাতে একই পথে যাওয়া অন্য যাত্রীদের সঙ্গে শেয়ারড রাইডও হতে পারে।
