লাতিন racemus অর্থ “আঙুরের গুচ্ছ” থেকে; মধ্যযুগীয়/নব্য-লাতিন উদ্ভিদবিদ্যার ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে শব্দটি ইংরেজিতে (প্রায় ১৭শ শতকে) গৃহীত হয়।
Definition
A raceme is a type of flower cluster (inflorescence) where the main stem keeps growing and bears multiple flowers on short stalks (pedicels) along a single central axis, with the oldest flowers at the bottom and newer ones forming toward the top.
রেসিম হলো এক ধরনের ফুলের গুচ্ছ (ইনফ্লোরেসেন্স), যেখানে প্রধান দণ্ডটি বাড়তে থাকে এবং একটি কেন্দ্রীয় অক্ষ বরাবর ছোট ডাঁটা (পেডিসেল)-যুক্ত বহু ফুল ধরে; নিচের দিকের পুরোনো ফুল আগে ফোটে এবং ওপরের দিকে নতুন ফুল পরে গঠিত/ফোটে।
