শারীরস্থানগত অর্থে punctum বলতে শরীরের কোনো অংশের অতি ক্ষুদ্র বিন্দু/চূড়া বা তীক্ষ্ণ অগ্রভাগ (যেমন কোনো ছিদ্রের মুখ বা বিন্দুসম অংশ) বোঝায়; আবার মধ্যযুগীয় সঙ্গীতলিপিতে এটি এমন একটি neume যা একটি মাত্র স্বর নির্দেশ করে।
