From German Protoplasma, coined from Greek prōtos (“first”) + plasma (“something formed, molded”).
জার্মান Protoplasma থেকে আগত; গ্রিক prōtos (অর্থ “প্রথম”) + plasma (অর্থ “গঠিত/রূপ দেওয়া বস্তু”)—এই উপাদানগুলো থেকে শব্দটি গঠিত।

The entire living contents of a cell—made up of the nucleus and cytoplasm—often described as a semi-fluid, transparent material found in plant and animal cells.
