‘pile’ ক্রিয়া থেকে (ল্যাটিন pila ‘স্তম্ভ/ঢিবি, বল’ → ফরাসি মাধ্যমে), এর সঙ্গে -ing যোগ হয়ে; বিশেষ্য অর্থে প্রকৌশলগত ‘ভিত্তির পাইল/খুঁটি’ অর্থও ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Definition
Piling refers to (1) putting things together into a heap (often ‘pile up’), (2) a traffic build-up when vehicles crowd together, and (3) in engineering, driving/using piles as deep foundation supports.
‘Piling’ বলতে (১) জিনিসপত্র স্তূপ/গাদা করে জমানো (প্রায়ই ‘pile up’), (২) যানবাহন জমে গিয়ে জট সৃষ্টি হওয়া, এবং (৩) প্রকৌশলে গভীর ভিত্তির জন্য পাইল/খুঁটি বসানো বা পাইল ব্যবহারের কাজ বোঝায়।
