Definition
In general use, “paracentric” describes something located beside or near the center rather than through it; in genetics, it refers to an inversion within one arm of a chromosome that does not involve the centromere.
সাধারণ ব্যবহারে “paracentric” বলতে কেন্দ্রের ভেতর দিয়ে নয়, বরং কেন্দ্রের পাশে/কাছাকাছি অবস্থিত কিছুকে বোঝায়; জিনতত্ত্বে এটি এমন একটি ক্রোমোজোমীয় inversion বোঝায় যা ক্রোমোজোমের এক বাহুর মধ্যে ঘটে এবং centromere-কে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে না।
