osmo- (অস্মোসিস/অসমোটিক প্রক্রিয়াসংক্রান্ত) + -larity (molar থেকে উদ্ভূত) — অর্থাৎ দ্রবণে অসমোটিক কণার ঘনত্বের পরিমাপ।
Definition
Osmolarity is a measure of how many osmotically active particles (osmoles) are present in one litre of a solution; it is used in physiology and clinical labs to describe the concentration of body fluids and IV fluids.
অসমোলারিটি হলো কোনো দ্রবণের প্রতি লিটারে কতটি অসমোটিকভাবে সক্রিয় কণা (অসমোল) আছে তার পরিমাপ; শারীরবিদ্যা ও ক্লিনিক্যাল ল্যাবে শরীরের তরল এবং আইভি ফ্লুইডের ঘনত্ব বোঝাতে এটি ব্যবহৃত হয়।
