Definition
Orography is a branch of physical geography that focuses on the measurement, mapping, and description of mountain ranges and highland relief, including how terrain affects winds, rainfall, and local climate (e.g., orographic lift).
অরোগ্রাফি হলো ভৌত ভূগোলের একটি শাখা, যা পর্বতমালা ও উচ্চভূমির ভূমিরূপের পরিমাপ, মানচিত্রায়ন ও বর্ণনা নিয়ে কাজ করে; পাশাপাশি ভূপ্রকৃতি কীভাবে বাতাসের প্রবাহ, বৃষ্টিপাত এবং স্থানীয় জলবায়ুকে প্রভাবিত করে (যেমন অরোগ্রাফিক লিফ্ট) তা বিশ্লেষণ করে।
