From modern scientific Latin oogamia, formed from Greek ōion “egg” + -gamia “marriage, union” (from gamos “marriage”).
আধুনিক বৈজ্ঞানিক লাতিন oogamia থেকে এসেছে; এটি গ্রিক ōion (অর্থ “ডিম”) + -gamia (অর্থ “বিবাহ/মিলন”, gamos “বিবাহ” থেকে) উপাদানে গঠিত।
Definition
Oogamy is a form of anisogamy where the female gamete is large and stationary (an egg) and the male gamete is smaller and usually motile (often a sperm); it occurs in many animals, plants, and some algae.
ওগ্যামি হলো অ্যানাইসোগ্যামির একটি ধরন যেখানে স্ত্রী গ্যামেটটি বড় ও অচল (ডিম্বাণু) এবং পুরুষ গ্যামেটটি ছোট ও সাধারণত চলনশীল (প্রায়ই শুক্রাণু); এটি অনেক প্রাণী, উদ্ভিদ এবং কিছু শৈবালে দেখা যায়।
