From odd + toed; used in zoology as the common-language equivalent of Perissodactyl, from Greek perissos ‘odd’ + daktylos ‘finger/toe’.

Describing an animal that has an odd number of toes on each foot, typically with the central (third) toe bearing most of the weight; used especially for mammals like horses, rhinos, and tapirs (Perissodactyla).
