Definition
An oarfish is a rare, deep-ocean fish with a long, flattened, ribbon-shaped body and a conspicuous red dorsal fin running along much of its length; it sometimes washes ashore and has been linked in folklore to “sea serpent” sightings.
ওয়ারফিশ হলো গভীর সমুদ্রে বাস করা বিরল এক ধরনের মাছ, যার দেহ খুব লম্বা, চ্যাপ্টা ও ফিতার মতো এবং দেহ বরাবর লাল রঙের স্পষ্ট ডোরসাল পাখনা থাকে; এটি মাঝে মাঝে তীরে ভেসে আসে এবং লোককথায় “সমুদ্র সাপ” দেখার ঘটনার সঙ্গে একে জড়ানো হয়।
