Definition
Nonuptake refers to a situation where something that could be taken in (absorbed, received, or acquired)—such as a nutrient, drug, chemical, water, or information—is not taken in. It is commonly used in biology, medicine, pharmacology, and environmental science (e.g., nonuptake of nitrate by plants, nonuptake of a tracer by tissue).
ননআপটেক বলতে এমন অবস্থা বোঝায় যেখানে গ্রহণ করা সম্ভব এমন কিছু (শোষণ, গ্রহণ বা অর্জন)—যেমন পুষ্টি, ওষুধ, রাসায়নিক, পানি বা সংকেত/তথ্য—গ্রহণ করা হয় না। শব্দটি জীববিজ্ঞান, চিকিৎসাবিজ্ঞান, ফার্মাকোলজি ও পরিবেশবিজ্ঞানে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয় (যেমন উদ্ভিদের নাইট্রেট না নেওয়া, টিস্যুতে ট্রেসার না শোষিত হওয়া)।
