লাতিন resonare (‘প্রতিধ্বনিত হওয়া/ধ্বনিত হওয়া’) থেকে আগত resonance শব্দের সাথে non- (‘না/অ-’) উপসর্গ যোগে গঠিত।
Definition
Nonresonance is the condition in which an object or system does not vibrate with increased amplitude when driven by an external force, meaning resonance does not occur (often because the driving frequency does not match a natural frequency or damping is high).
ননরেজোন্যান্স হলো এমন একটি অবস্থা যেখানে বাহ্যিক প্রভাবে চালিত হলেও কোনো বস্তু বা সিস্টেমের কম্পনের বিস্তার (অ্যাম্প্লিটিউড) উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে বৃদ্ধি পায় না—অর্থাৎ রেজোন্যান্স ঘটে না (সাধারণত কারণ চালক কম্পাঙ্ক প্রাকৃতিক কম্পাঙ্কের সাথে মেলে না বা ড্যাম্পিং বেশি থাকে)।
