Mythification is the process by which real people, events, or ideas are reshaped into simplified, symbolic stories (myths), often through exaggeration, selective memory, propaganda, or repeated retelling, so that they serve cultural, political, or emotional purposes rather than strict historical accuracy.
মিথিকরণ (mythification) হলো এমন একটি প্রক্রিয়া যার মাধ্যমে বাস্তব ব্যক্তি, ঘটনা বা ধারণাকে অতিরঞ্জন, বাছাইকৃত স্মৃতি, প্রচারণা বা বারবার পুনর্কথনের মাধ্যমে সরলীকৃত ও প্রতীকী ‘মিথ’-এর মতো গল্পে রূপ দেওয়া হয়, যাতে তা কঠোর ঐতিহাসিক সত্যের চেয়ে সাংস্কৃতিক, রাজনৈতিক বা আবেগগত উদ্দেশ্য বেশি পূরণ করে।
