Formed in modern technical English from multi- (“many”) + path (a way/route); widely used in telecommunications and networking from the late 20th century.
আধুনিক প্রযুক্তিগত ইংরেজিতে multi- (“অনেক/বহু”) + path (পথ/রুট) থেকে গঠিত; ২০শ শতকের শেষভাগ থেকে টেলিকমিউনিকেশন ও নেটওয়ার্কিং ক্ষেত্রে ব্যাপকভাবে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
Multi-path describes a situation where there are several possible paths from one point to another, or where a system deliberately uses multiple routes at the same time (e.g., networking, wireless signals, routing, or logistics) to improve reliability, speed, or resilience.
Multi-path বলতে এমন অবস্থা বোঝায় যেখানে এক বিন্দু থেকে আরেক বিন্দুতে যাওয়ার একাধিক পথ/রুট থাকে, অথবা কোনো সিস্টেম (যেমন নেটওয়ার্কিং, বেতার সিগন্যাল, রাউটিং, বা লজিস্টিকস) নির্ভরযোগ্যতা, গতি বা স্থিতিস্থাপকতা বাড়াতে একই সঙ্গে একাধিক পথ ব্যবহার করে।
