From Latin moribundus (“about to die”), from mori (“to die”), plus the English noun-forming suffix -ity.
লাতিন moribundus (“মরতে বসেছে/মৃত্যুর কাছাকাছি”) থেকে, যা mori (“মরা”) শব্দজাত; এর সঙ্গে ইংরেজি বিশেষ্য-গঠনকারী প্রত্যয় -ity যুক্ত হয়ে শব্দটি গঠিত।
Definition
Moribundity is the condition of being near death or in a terminal, irreversibly declining state; it can describe people, institutions, ideas, or systems that are fading or becoming obsolete.
মোরিবান্ডিটি হলো মৃত্যু-সন্নিকট অবস্থা বা এমন এক চূড়ান্ত, অপরিবর্তনীয় অবনতিশীল অবস্থা; এটি মানুষ, প্রতিষ্ঠান, ধারণা বা ব্যবস্থা—যেগুলো ক্ষয়িষ্ণু/অচল হয়ে পড়ছে—সেগুলোকেও বোঝাতে পারে।
