Origin & History
Formed in modern technical English from mini- (“small; reduced”) + protocol (from French protocole, ultimately from Greek prōtokollon “first sheet (glued),” later “official record/procedure”).
আধুনিক কারিগরি ইংরেজিতে mini- (“ছোট/সংক্ষিপ্ত”) উপসর্গ + protocol শব্দের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত; protocol এসেছে ফরাসি protocole থেকে, যার শিকড় গ্রিক prōtokollon (আক্ষরিক অর্থ “প্রথম পাতা/লাগানো প্রথম শিট”; পরে “সরকারি নথি/পদ্ধতি”)।

It is typically used to standardize a routine task quickly without the full detail of a formal protocol.
