Definition
Microplastic refers to extremely small plastic particles (generally under 5 mm) that originate from the breakdown of larger plastic items or are manufactured at a microscopic size, and are commonly found in water, soil, air, and living organisms.
মাইক্রোপ্লাস্টিক বলতে অত্যন্ত ক্ষুদ্র প্লাস্টিক কণাকে বোঝায় (সাধারণত ৫ মিলিমিটারের কম), যা বড় প্লাস্টিক ভেঙে তৈরি হয় অথবা ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে ক্ষুদ্র আকারে উৎপাদিত হয় এবং পানি, মাটি, বাতাস ও জীবদেহে পাওয়া যায়।
