From Middle English liegship, formed from liege (“having the status of a feudal superior or loyal vassal”) + -ship (“state/condition”), ultimately from Old French lige/liege.
Middle English liegship থেকে গঠিত; liege (“সামন্তীয় প্রভু/অনুগত ভাসাল-সংক্রান্ত মর্যাদা”) + -ship (“অবস্থা/ধর্ম”) মিলিয়ে তৈরি, এবং এর মূল উৎস Old French lige/liege।
Definition
Liegeship is the feudal bond of loyalty and service that a vassal owes to a liege lord, including the duties (such as military or court service) and the recognized status of being under that lord’s authority.
Liegeship হলো সামন্ততান্ত্রিক ব্যবস্থায় একজন ভাসাল (অনুচর/জমিদার-অনুগত) তার liege lord (প্রধান প্রভু)-এর প্রতি আনুগত্য ও সেবার বন্ধন; এতে কর্তব্য (যেমন সামরিক বা দরবারি সেবা) এবং সেই প্রভুর অধীনস্থ হওয়ার স্বীকৃত অবস্থান অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
