From lean (in fuel-mixture sense: having relatively more air and less fuel) + burn; used in engineering/automotive contexts for combustion with excess air.
‘lean’ (জ্বালানি-মিশ্রণের অর্থে: তুলনামূলক বেশি বায়ু ও কম জ্বালানি) + ‘burn’ থেকে গঠিত; ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং/অটোমোটিভ প্রেক্ষিতে অতিরিক্ত বায়ুসহ দহন বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
Describing an engine or combustion process where the air–fuel mixture has more air than the stoichiometric (ideal) ratio, so the engine burns a lean mixture; this can improve fuel economy and reduce some emissions, but may increase NOx and can affect performance.
এমন ইঞ্জিন বা দহনপ্রক্রিয়া বোঝায় যেখানে বায়ু-জ্বালানি মিশ্রণে স্টয়কিওমেট্রিক (আদর্শ) অনুপাতের তুলনায় বেশি বায়ু থাকে, ফলে ‘লিন’ মিশ্রণ জ্বলে; এতে জ্বালানি সাশ্রয় ও কিছু নির্গমন কমতে পারে, তবে NOx বাড়তে পারে এবং কর্মক্ষমতায় প্রভাব ফেলতে পারে।
