‘কবীর’ নামের সঙ্গে ইংরেজি প্রত্যয় -ite (অর্থ: কোনো মত/দলের অনুসারী বা সদস্য) যুক্ত হয়ে গঠিত; কবীর ও কবিরপন্থের অনুসারীদের বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
A Kabirite is a person who belongs to the Kabir Panth or follows the spiritual teachings attributed to Kabir, emphasizing devotion, inner realization, and often rejecting rigid ritualism and sectarian divisions.
কবিরাইট বলতে সাধারণত কবিরপন্থ (Kabir Panth)-এর অনুসারী বা কবীরের (মধ্যযুগীয় ভারতীয় সাধক-কবি) শিক্ষার অনুসারী ব্যক্তিকে বোঝায়; যেখানে ভক্তি, অন্তর্দৃষ্টি/আত্মোপলব্ধি, এবং অনেক ক্ষেত্রে আচার-অনুষ্ঠানের কঠোরতা ও সাম্প্রদায়িক বিভাজনকে অতিক্রম করার মনোভাব গুরুত্ব পায়।
