Origin & History
From Arabic Ibāḍiyya, named after ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ibāḍ, an early figure associated with the movement; the English form is built with the suffix -ism.
আরবি ‘ইবাযিয়্যা’ (Ibāḍiyya) থেকে উদ্ভূত, যা আন্দোলনের সঙ্গে সম্পৃক্ত প্রারম্ভিক ব্যক্তি ʿআবদুল্লাহ ইবন ইবায-এর নাম অনুসারে; ইংরেজিতে -ism প্রত্যয় যোগে শব্দরূপটি গঠিত।
Definition
Ibadism is a distinct Islamic denomination, historically linked to early Islamic sectarian movements and commonly described as a separate school within Islam; it has its own religious leadership traditions, legal reasoning (fiqh), and community practices, and today is most strongly associated with Oman.
ইবাদিজম ইসলামের একটি স্বতন্ত্র মতধারা/সম্প্রদায়, যার ঐতিহাসিক শিকড় প্রারম্ভিক ইসলামী মতভেদের ধারার সঙ্গে যুক্ত; এর নিজস্ব ধর্মীয় নেতৃত্ব-রীতি, ফিকহ (আইনব্যাখ্যা) ও সাম্প্রদায়িক চর্চা রয়েছে, এবং বর্তমানে এটি বিশেষভাবে ওমানের সঙ্গে বেশি সম্পৃক্ত।
