Formed from heresiography (Greek hairesis ‘choice; sect, heresy’ + -graphia ‘writing’) + English adjectival suffix -al.
গ্রিক ‘হাইরেসিস’ (পছন্দ/দল/বিধর্ম) ও ‘-গ্রাফিয়া’ (লেখন/রচনা) থেকে গঠিত ‘হেরেসিওগ্রাফি’ শব্দের সঙ্গে ইংরেজি বিশেষণসূচক প্রত্যয় ‘-al’ যোগে গঠিত।
