Definition
Foundationalism is a theory in epistemology claiming that some beliefs are “basic” (justified without depending on other beliefs), and that these basic beliefs provide the foundation for justifying further beliefs by inference.
ফাউন্ডেশনালিজম হলো জ্ঞানতত্ত্বের একটি মতবাদ, যেখানে বলা হয় কিছু বিশ্বাস “মৌলিক” (অন্যান্য বিশ্বাসের ওপর নির্ভর না করেই ন্যায্য/যথার্থ বলে গণ্য), এবং সেই মৌলিক বিশ্বাসগুলো থেকে যুক্তি বা অনুসিদ্ধান্তের মাধ্যমে অন্যান্য বিশ্বাসকে ন্যায্যতা দেওয়া হয়।
