Definition
Deracination is the state or process of being uprooted—physically from one’s homeland or socially/culturally from one’s roots, traditions, or community, often leading to a sense of displacement or loss of identity.
Deracination বলতে বোঝায় উপড়ে ফেলা বা শিকড়ছাড়া হওয়ার অবস্থা/প্রক্রিয়া—শারীরিকভাবে নিজ ভূমি থেকে, কিংবা সামাজিক-সাংস্কৃতিকভাবে নিজের শিকড়, ঐতিহ্য বা সম্প্রদায় থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে পড়া; এতে প্রায়ই স্থানচ্যুতি ও পরিচয়-সংকটের অনুভূতি তৈরি হয়।
