Origin & History
From Latin cūrātiō (“care, oversight; healing”), from cūrāre (“to take care of; to cure”), later used for a curator’s work and modern information-management senses.
লাতিন cūrātiō (অর্থ: ‘যত্ন/তত্ত্বাবধান; আরোগ্য’) থেকে এসেছে, যা cūrāre (‘যত্ন করা; আরোগ্য করা’) ক্রিয়া থেকে উদ্ভূত; পরে কিউরেটরের কাজ এবং আধুনিক তথ্য-ব্যবস্থাপনার অর্থে ব্যবহার বিস্তৃত হয়।
Definition
Curation is the process of carefully selecting, organizing, presenting, and maintaining a collection (such as artworks, museum objects, or digital content); it can also mean manual updating/management of database information, and in older/rare use it refers to curing or healing.
কিউরেশন হলো কোনো সংগ্রহ (যেমন শিল্পকর্ম, জাদুঘরের বস্তু, বা ডিজিটাল কনটেন্ট) সতর্কভাবে বাছাই, বিন্যস্ত করা, উপস্থাপন করা এবং রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের প্রক্রিয়া; এটি ডাটাবেসে তথ্য হাতে-কলমে আপডেট/পরিচালনাকেও বোঝাতে পারে, এবং পুরোনো/কম ব্যবহৃত অর্থে ‘চিকিৎসা/আরোগ্য’ অর্থও নির্দেশ করে।
