auto- (অর্থ “নিজ”) + antigen (রোগপ্রতিরোধ প্রতিক্রিয়া উদ্দীপক পদার্থ) থেকে গঠিত; ইমিউনোলজিতে অটোইমিউনিটিতে লক্ষ্যবস্তু হওয়া দেহজাত অণু/উপাদান বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত।
Definition
An autoantigen is a normal molecule or tissue component produced by one’s own body that is mistakenly targeted by the immune system, leading to autoimmune disease.
অটোঅ্যান্টিজেন হলো শরীরের নিজের তৈরি স্বাভাবিক কোনো অণু বা টিস্যুর উপাদান, যেটিকে ভুল করে রোগপ্রতিরোধ ব্যবস্থা লক্ষ্যবস্তু হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করে এবং এর ফলে অটোইমিউন রোগ সৃষ্টি/উদ্দীপিত হতে পারে।
