From the metallurgical term austenite (named after Sir William Chandler Roberts-Austen) + the verbal suffix -ise/-ize, with the noun-forming suffix -ing; British spelling uses -ise (austenitising).

Definition
Austenitising is a heat-treatment step in which steel is heated to its austenite region (above the critical temperature) and held so the structure becomes austenite; it is then usually quenched or cooled in a controlled way to achieve desired hardness and microstructure.
অস্টেনিটাইজিং হলো একটি তাপ-প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণ ধাপ, যেখানে ইস্পাতকে তার অস্টেনাইট অঞ্চলে (সমালোচনামূলক তাপমাত্রার ওপরে) উত্তপ্ত করে নির্দিষ্ট সময় ধরে রাখা হয় যাতে গঠন অস্টেনাইটে রূপান্তরিত হয়; এরপর কাঙ্ক্ষিত কঠোরতা ও মাইক্রোস্ট্রাকচার পেতে সাধারণত কুইঞ্চিং বা নিয়ন্ত্রিত শীতলকরণ করা হয়।
