আর্কিওফাইট হলো এমন একটি অস্থানীয় (বিদেশি উৎসের) উদ্ভিদ, যা মানুষ বহু প্রাচীনকালে কোনো অঞ্চলে এনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছে এবং যা পরে স্বাভাবিকভাবে (বনে-জঙ্গলে/ক্ষেতে) টিকে গেছে; সাধারণত প্রাচীন কৃষি ও ঐতিহাসিক বসতির সঙ্গে এর সম্পর্ক থাকে।
