Definition
Aphthogenic describes a factor (such as a drug, food component, trauma, or condition) that tends to trigger or produce aphthae—small, painful ulcers commonly occurring on the oral mucosa (canker sores). It is mainly used in medical/dental contexts to discuss causes or risk factors for recurrent aphthous stomatitis.
Aphthogenic বলতে এমন কোনো কারণ/উপাদানকে বোঝায় (যেমন ওষুধ, খাবারের উপাদান, আঘাত, বা কোনো অবস্থা) যা আফথা—বিশেষ করে মুখের ভেতরের শ্লেষ্মা ঝিল্লিতে হওয়া ছোট, ব্যথাযুক্ত ঘা (ক্যানকার সোর)—সৃষ্টি করে বা সৃষ্টি হওয়ার প্রবণতা বাড়ায়। এটি মূলত চিকিৎসা/দন্তচিকিৎসার প্রেক্ষিতে recurrent aphthous stomatitis (বারবার হওয়া মুখের ঘা)-এর কারণ বা ঝুঁকিপর্যায় আলোচনা করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
