Definition
Aetherial describes something that seems not quite of this world—very light, delicate, airy, or heavenly in quality (often used for beauty, music, light, mist, or a mood). It can also mean ‘of the upper air/sky’, and historically it referred to ‘aether,’ an ancient/early scientific idea of a subtle substance thought to fill the universe.
