বাড়ি বা ঘরের সামনে/মাঝে থাকা খোলা জায়গা, যেখানে বসা, চলাফেরা, কাজকর্ম, শুকোনো বা পারিবারিক আড্ডা ইত্যাদি হয়; গ্রামবাংলায় এটি ঘর-সংলগ্ন আঙিনা অর্থে বেশি ব্যবহৃত
