যে ব্যক্তি বা বক্তব্যে যুক্তি-তর্কের প্রবণতা বেশি থাকে, কথোপকথনে প্রায়ই বিতর্ক/যুক্তিখণ্ডন করতে চায় বা তর্কাত্মক ভঙ্গিতে উপস্থাপন করে—তাকে/তাকে-সংক্রান্তকে তর্কাত্মক বলা হয়
