ফারসি ‘তাকাদা/তাকাজা’ (অর্থ: দাবি, প্রয়োজন, তাড়া) শব্দ থেকে ‘তাগাদা’; ‘দেওয়া’ যোগে বাংলায় যৌগিক ক্রিয়া ‘তাগাদা দেওয়া’ গঠিত
