যে ব্যক্তি/বস্তু/অবস্থা দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে টিকে থাকে, স্থির থাকে, বা সাময়িক নয়—তাকে স্থায়ী বলা হয় (যেমন: স্থায়ী চাকরি, স্থায়ী ঠিকানা, স্থায়ী ক্ষতি)
