হিন্দু ধর্মীয় প্রথায় মৃত আত্মীয়/পূর্বপুরুষের আত্মার শান্তি ও পিতৃঋণ পরিশোধের উদ্দেশ্যে নির্দিষ্ট তিথিতে পিণ্ডদান, তর্পণ, ব্রাহ্মণভোজন বা দান-ধ্যানসহ যে শোকানুষ্ঠান করা হয়
