‘পরিষ্কার’ (স্বচ্ছ/ময়লামুক্ত) শব্দের সঙ্গে ভাববাচক প্রত্যয় ‘-তা’ যোগে গঠিত; ‘পরিষ্কার’ শব্দটি ফারসি ‘পাক/পাকীজ়া’ প্রভাবিত ‘পরিষ্কার’ ব্যবহারের ধারার সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত বলে ধরা হয়
