From Sanskrit ‘परिधि (paridhi)’ (pari- ‘around’ + a root sense of placing/encircling), giving the meaning of an enclosing boundary; adopted into Bengali as ‘পরিধি’

কোনো বৃত্ত/বদ্ধ আকৃতি বা নির্দিষ্ট এলাকার চারদিকে যে সীমারেখা ঘিরে থাকে; জ্যামিতিতে বৃত্তের ক্ষেত্রে এটিকে ‘পরিসীমা’ বা ‘circumference’ বলা হয়
