‘পরি’ (চারদিকে/সম্পূর্ণভাবে) + ‘চালনা’ (চালানো/পরিচালিত করা) — সংস্কৃতমূল ধাতু ‘চল্’ (চলা) থেকে ‘চালনা/চালন’ ধারণার বিকাশ; আধুনিক বাংলায় ‘পরিচালনা’ অর্থে ব্যবস্থাপনা/নিয়ন্ত্রণের তাৎপর্য প্রতিষ্ঠিত
From ‘পরি’ (around/fully) + ‘চালনা’ (driving/operating), ultimately linked to the Sanskrit root ‘चल् (cal)’ “to move,” from which the notion of ‘driving/operating’ developed; in Modern Bengali, ‘পরিচালনা’ came to denote management/administration and control

পরিচালনা বলতে কোনো প্রতিষ্ঠান/কার্যক্রম/সম্পদকে লক্ষ্য অর্জনের জন্য পরিকল্পনা, সংগঠন, দিকনির্দেশ, তদারকি ও নিয়ন্ত্রণের সমন্বিত প্রক্রিয়াকে বোঝায়; একই সঙ্গে যানবাহন/যন্ত্র চালানোর কাজও বোঝাতে পারে
