সংস্কৃত উপসর্গ ‘অন-’ (না/বিরোধার্থক) + ‘আবাদ’ (চাষ, চাষাবাদ; আরবি-মূল ‘আবাদ’ বাংলায় প্রচলিত) + বিশেষণসূচক প্রত্যয় ‘-ী’ থেকে গঠিত

Definition

যে জমি বা ক্ষেত চাষ করা হয় না, ফসল ফলানোর জন্য কর্ষণ/বপন করা হয়নি—তাকে অনাবাদী বলা হয়
