‘নিরাপদ’ শব্দটি ‘নিরাপদ’/‘নিরাপত্তা’ অর্থবোধক দেশজ-প্রচলিত গঠন; ‘স্থান’ শব্দটি সংস্কৃত ‘স্থান’ থেকে এসেছে—দুটি মিলে ‘বিপদমুক্ত আশ্রয়ের জায়গা’ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে
